I know this has done the rounds for a long time, but I still find it fascinating:

I never seem to have enough time to do what I need to do during the day, and these two sites I’ve discovered this week certainly aren’t going to help!
The first is Google Image Labeler. The idea is nice and simple. You’re initially paired with another user, then presented with an image. You type in a description of the image and if the two of you match one, you get some points. Sounds dead simple, and it is. It’s also ridiculously addictive! There’s a high score table, so you can see how you’re doing compared to others. Warning – once you start, you won’t stop!
The next is a terrific Trivia site – Blufr. You’re presented with a statement which you have to decide is either true of false. Again, very simple, and very addictive.

I came across this terrific little site a while back. The idea of DailyAwards is that you upload a selection of your photos (you’re initially limited to 5) and then everyone votes on each others photos. The more votes you make and the more people who vote for you, the more photos you’re allowed to upload. Get enough votes, and you’ll get an award, and possibly your photo on the front page for everyone to see.
I’ve won a couple of awards now and there’s a tremendous feeling of pride knowing your peers have voted for your work. You can see how many votes you’ve had for each photo and also the average vote received.

I’ve been busy putting together a photo gallery using Gallery 2, a stunning free php based application. I’ve now completed the initial setup and it’s ready for viewing.
If you have your own web site and are interested in photography, I’d strongly recommend Gallery 2.
